...and if anybody actually knows the answer to this..please let me know.  I've tried like 15 times to get this cream in my dogs eye.  i'm supposed to hold her body tight so she's still, keep her head still, pull back the hair from her face to find her eye, pull apart her eye so it's all popping out and then squeeze some ointment directly onto her eyeball so she will blink and get it all over the place.  I'm supposed to do this every 3-4 hours.  fuck. it's takes me 3-4 hours just to attempt this.  i still don't feel I've even been successful once today.  poor buffy hates me though. i keep buying back her love after each attempt with cooked chicken breast.

My dog weighs 8lbs.  Eight pounds. It took 3 grown people, one of them a vetrinarian, to hold my little squirmy sqew down.  she is wiggly.  the vet laughed at me today.  he's like, "ha. yeah. you're really going to have a hard time trying to get this in her eye."

uh. gee. thanks for that.

I started my morning by finally listening to White and Nerdy, by Wierd Al.  Oh was it worth the hype and build up.  I laughed my ass off.  This is over half the people I know in one form or another...yes, I work in the Computer Industry and/or have many nerd friends.... here's a little bit of verse from the song:

I ordered a new Ipod 'Shuffle' today for working out; and had it engraved for free: Whickity Whack:EMZ MuZak...(yes, yes, I was in fact possessed by the spirit of Wierd Al at the time that i was making the deciscion).  I figure i could have been plain and boring and put "Emily" on it or "Em" but why?  I already know it's mine and the engraving was free so why not have a little fun.  I bought some new headphones while I was at it, seeing how i seemed to have misplaced my really nice nice ones that He Who Shall Not Be Named bought for me (I also misplaced my 30gb black video ipod too, but luckily H.W.S.N.B.N gave me his when he moved out because he was switching over to a Zune)....so now i will have a new uber small clip on music with good headphones that will stay on while running flailing about.   

All of the cache/cookies in my computer still have so much of HWSNBN' preset information in it..I will go to a site and BAM-autofill and auto completion kicks in for his name and/or his account pages pull up automagically. this make me sad to have his name thrown at me all out of the blue when i'm not expecting it.  it's like a tiny sting in my heart each time.  

Today i am taking Buffy to the Vet for her first set of shots.  She is 8 weeks old and the vet told us last week that she was still too physically tiny for her first round.  I've fattened her up this past week and she is now ready- She Who Shall Get Vaccinated...he he he, chuckle chuckle...(sorry, i told you how i just re-read the harry potter series didn't i? i know i know the joke is getting old-ish).  She spent a good 30 minutes this morning attacking my hair while i sat at my desk and she played slayer puppy on my lap...biting by hands and sweater and trying to eat my hair.

 

I have been asked by my boss to have a carreer discussion at the end of the month and re-state my new plan now that the old one has fallen apart...you know that old plan- the one where my boyfriend and i both transfer jobs to our WA headquarters, buy a house, get a dog, live happily ever after...yeah; so now that the plan is fucked..and they've given me 2 months to be sad and seemingly recover from this devastating loss.......so now..What the fuck am i going to do with my life? no pressure or anything. They are going to want to know if i'm still going to move to WA and if so, when.  If i'm not, they are going to want to know how i plan to continue to be successful in my current role from down here?  I am not up for this type of decision.  i need more time to wallow and freak out.  I was just about to start my big slide into the downward spiral...remember?  It sucks that along with having my heart and soul ripped to pieces, that my carreer is now fucked because of this man's poor decision making skills.  if only he could have been honest with himself and then subsequently, me, during the time we were together, i wouldn't have gotten myself into the mess with work.  I am in so many messes at the moment it seems...good thing i have pretty nails to look at.  they make me tilt my head and smirk to myself when i look at them.

The puppy likes to be rocked to sleep like a little baby wrapped in a blanket.  she puts her head back and lets you rock her and hold her.

I'm a New Mama Again!

She is WAY smaller than I thought she'd be.  She's sweet as all Get Out and loves to play and sleep like most puppies.  We ended up getting her on Friday around noon and had her all day in the hotel to play with.  We had to sneak her into the room as NYNY doesn't allow dogs; we had room service like 3 times yesterday....ug..i'm way full; i don't think i'll need to eat til Xmas day. 

Zoe has been amazing!  She was really ready for a dog.  She's been super responsible and loving to the puppy and I'm really proud of her.  Of course, I'm totally jealous as the puppy loves her best (so far!).  Must go and make sure the kitties are sniffing apropriately- they've never seen anything like her before and are very curious!

okay, is this puppy totally cute or what?  she is so cute!  Last weekend Zoe and I went and bought a ton of 'gear' for the new puppy.  We have a carrier like thing, which is kind of like a big purse..we got some really cute clothes, a ton of toys, a puppy bed, all sorts of things...i never knew there were so many different kinds of small= xsmall, xxsmall, xxxsmall.  wow. puppy clothes are so cute.  This is like having a new baby.  i am so excited and happy about it.  I've been trying to keep it quiet and to myself but the closer it gets to the day i get to bring her home, the more giddy i am about the whole thing.  The only downside is that just like with real babies, i probably won't be getting out of the hosue much.  so there will likely be a lot of boring blog posts in my future.  things like:  today the puppy did this or that or soemthing else kinda boring but funny.   

So, in the hour since my last post; zoe and i went through the names and narrowed the list.  Please vote on the below.  You can reply to this or send me email or call me or tell me.  the puppy will be named on Christmas Day,,,so get your vote in Now.  Multiple voting is allowed and ZDog and myself will accept other names to possibly be included in the list..also...i just have to say,,,that zoe came up with "fur fairy" and it just makes me giggle everytime i say it.

okay..so i can't keep a secret when it is something that is to my own discretion....I am getting a puppy on December 23rd.  Zoe and I are going to pick it up in a small town outside of Las Vegas, Nevada called Mesquite.  The breeder is in Idaho Falls, ID and they were driving down south and were willing to meet me in Pocatello, ID, Salt Lake City, UT or Mesquite, Nevada...So I'm taking my 10 year old to Las Vegas for Christmas!  Okay, Okay, it sounds worse than it will be.  I'm looking forward to having a road trip.  We are making CD's of different music- puppy music, xmas music, sing along, keep mommy awake, ect...We leave on the 21st, pick up the puppy some time on the 23rd, and then start driving back to Cali..i have no idea what time we will get home..hopefully by the 24th.  We will have to stop every couple of hours for puppy pee breaks.  It might take me like 20 hours to get home.  i guess i could always stop and stay at some hotel with puppy and kid if i get really tired.  i am kinda nervous about the whole thing...i get lost pretty easily and i'm not to keen on the idea of stopping at night so often with my precious cargo.

Puppy was born on November 11th...an ironic day for those of you that know what's been going on with me...she kind of looks like a very fat rat at this point.  her fluffy hair hasn't started to grow in yet and she was barely starting to open her eyes in the below pictures.  i should get a new picture this week. 

 

So now for the fun part:  The puppy Naming....Here is the first round list that was created for a different puppy that was to come next year..but i figure it can still apply to this puppy.
