can't someone buy me a Blythe doll?  I don't even know where and how to get one?  I tried to do some research and just ended up at all of these japanese websites and places that didn't sell to the US.  I think maybe you have to get them from ebay or something.  i think they are quite expensive as well.  hmmm. more research must be done.  my birthday is coming up next month..on the 18th...if anyone wants to get me something..you should all pitch in and try to find me a Blythe doll...preferably, one with green eyes and brown hair...like me.

I am up with Buffarella.  one of the cats busted into my bedroom tonight..somehow jimmied the door opened and scared the crap out of me....luckily i was already up reading...the sequel to Valley of the Dolls is really good as well and i guess i lost track of time from midnight till now.  i should really get to sleep though; i have a big fun day planned for tomorrow.  We are all going to the beach.  Anybody that knows me, knows that i love the ocean and it does something amazing to my soul...rejuvenation, relaxation, contemplation, harmony.  i always feel i can figure out my life if i can just go to the ocean for a while.  it is my safe haven.  i feel part of the world when i am there listening to the waves, running from them, playing with them.  buffy has crashed on my left foot....i am off to bed and this time to sleep.

I had the most amazing Shiatsu massage this week.  I am definately hooked.  I used to love regular deep tissue or hot stone, but now that i've found shiatsu...there is no going back.  The pressure and stretching felt amazing; like all of the stress was being vented from my body, one pressure point at a time.   I am making another appointment in 3 weeks.

Shiatsu, also known as acupressure, is a finger pressure massage technique. that is sometimes confused with acupuncture. Shiatsu massage therapy and acupuncture are founded on the Chinese meridian system. The therapist applies pressure with his/her thumbs, finger, and palms to specific areas of the client's Emily's body that have been determined during an assessment period prior to the massage session. There are no needle pokes involved with Shiatsu. Massage techniques like tapping, squeezing, rubbing, and applied pressure are applied along the meridians to unblock energy blockages and reintroduce the optimal flow of ki.

I left Buffy alone twice this week.  Once on Thursday for 3 hours and again in  a few minutes for about 2 hours.  She seems to be doing really well with the potty training and seems happy to be downstairs by herself for a bits of time.  She really is the cutest thing and each day i love her more and more.  I've been taking her to pick up zoe from school and letting all of the children swarm around her and take turns holding her.  She is getting used to the attention and is very friendly with all of the kids.  I took her into work once this week as well and she stayed in my office for an hour with only barking once (or so i was told). 

Work was awesome today.  i closed a deal and saved millions of dollars!  yeah for me!  I am super fabulous! 

Zoe went on a tour of the middle school she would go to next year and she loved it.  She is so excited about the idea that she will have a locker!

Tonight, I'm off to take Zoe to see Ice Skating; Stars on Ice.  Ergg and Ugg.  It's a yearly tradition from my ex-mother-in-law and we've been going for the past 6 years.  Zoe is excited enough for both of us so that makes me happy that she is thrilled.  The Arena searches bags so the puppy cannot come with. 

After last sunday night's breakdown....I haven't been sad all week.  I feel clear and hopeful about my life and my future.  I have a million reasons to be happy and thankful and plenty of friends to talk to and to help cheer me up and keep me busy....I have decided to make an actual effort to move along in my life and start to enjoy the many positive things going on right now.  Yes, this is my peptalk to myself, but it is well deserved and well needed.   I was sad to hear that he flaked on his daughter's birthday today; apparently him and kat both called in sick from work for like the 5th time!  I guess they just don't care about appearences....  I guess he decided not to fly to see his daughter today afterall.  It is unfortunate that his life has taken the turns that it has..  He visits his kids less, calls in sick more often and continues to lie to everyone he knows.  I hope he eventually finds some peace and is able to find some truth within his self; maybe then, he'll be able to treat the people in his life a little better. I however, will not be one of them...because i will be long gone from his life...hopefully...someday...each day i am farther away.  I just need to think of that as a good thing rather than mourning it.

I left my wallet in a shopping cart today at the grocery store.  I realized i had done this after I got all the way home and brought the groceries inside.  We raced back to the store and someone had turned it in. (Hooray for Nice People!).  So...Karma.  I totally owe the world now. 

I have started by removing my offensive post from xmas eve that had a really bad alanis morisette wanna be jilted lover poem...  I must do various acts of random kindness to balance the world in the other direction as I've been kinda flip and disrespectful toward B...even if he did start with the evilness...i still don't like my own pettiness.  It's not good for me.

I must say that I had a GREAT christmas!  Zoe, Puppy and I all stayed over at my parents house for the last 2 nights and we had so much fun!  Zoe continued with her tradition of writing an entire play on xmas morning that is to be performed by all of the guests and family later in the afternoon.  She started this last year and has continued with it...she wrote it all out by hand and then typed it up on the computer, printed out several copies, highlighted everybodys part and passed out and assigned roles.  From the time Zoe was about 3 or 4 years old, we used to joke that she was going to be a Director someday..never an actress (even though she does has a flare for the DRAMATIC) but she is so naturally gifted and comfortable with having everyone do exactly as she has it planned out in her mind.  She has a vision and wants everyone else to act it out.  This year's play was a success, and we have them both on video tape....it was the story of a little girl and her family- the little girl believes in santa and the other family members don't...the little girl gets a puppy for xmas and the other family members get NOTHING from him..but the little girl gets them each one thing and tells them to believe...there is a flashback at the end to 5 years later...in which the entire family now believes and gets tons of presents..she even had Molly play the puppy 5 years later...(molly is my parents Giant German Shepard).  Zoe is amazing and she constantly impresses me.  I loved cuddling with her in the spareroom on xmas eve as she smiled and told me how excited she was and how she couldn't wait until the morning.

We only had about 12 or so people over this year, instead of the usual 18-20.  It was quieter and there was more food...my mother does an amazing job and i am so lucky to be invited over with my entire crew  to spend the night with them.  We did puzzles yesterday and my dad made Super Strong Cosmos for us on xmas that i could hardly finish it! 

Everyone loved the puppy and she got plenty of attention all day.  she is hard not to like even if you don't like small dogs or shih tzu's...she's super sweet and funny. 

I missed bengt so much the last two days...will i ever not miss him anymore?  How did we go from where we were in october to where we are now?  It seems like we are both completely different people?  i miss being happy and in love.

Buffarella Mo McPuff-Puff or "Buffy" for short......

She is currently sleeping after fighting evil all day long. 

I woke up this morning feeling very sleepy after being up with the puppy for a lot of the night.  I also woke up thinking of B.....resisting the desparate urge to text him and call him and wish him a merry christmas.  ugg.  kicking myself for loving him through all of my anger. 

We will announce the puppy's new name today. 

We had a nice morning at my parents house, and the house will be filled with people in a few short hours.  Santa ate his cookies and cocoa and signed his 'autograph' on a note that zoe left for him.  She usually leaves elaborate cocoa re-reheating instructions for santa with signs and arrows and stuff.  This year she left directions to the kitchen from the fireplace.  Santa ended up bringing her the Dance Dance Revolution game and dance pad for the Xbox.  Sweet!  Go Santa!  Despite having only a few presents this year, she was very happy, pleased and thankful...(yeah for zoe and yeah for me for having such a great kid!)

I am off today.  About to Embark on a Brand New Adventure.  Our plane leaves for Las Vegas this afternoon and we are checking a huge bag that is full of puppy supplies.  We are renting a car and then going to NYNY to relax in our Suite until Saturday at 10am when we are to be in some po-dunk town on the border of Utah called Mesquite.  I am packing right now and making breakfast....bacon. yummy.  I did errands this morning- bank to get mass cash, longs to get more toothpaste and then to the video store to return movies that are 2 weeks late..(Superman and The Last Emporor)

I am excited today!  I actually caught myself singing a christmas song about 20 minutes ago!  and i squeeled in the car about the puppy about an hour ago.  I am looking forward to the drive too.  me and the open road.  working out my issues (where 'issues' means trying to get over the fact that bengt left me for another woman) in the solitude of my thoughts and the road and the landscape.  If any of you know my phone number- give me a call on Saturday as I'll be driving for like 12 hours and will need the company.

I looked up stuff to do in Las Vegas with kids and I'm now really looking forward to it.  I'm going to take her to Circus Circus and there is not only a circus (duh) but an amusement park as well with rides and stuff.
